Smart Cultural Environments: Challenges and Benefits

In this talk I would  like to explore to which extend novel technologies for smart spaces have their place in the museum and in cultural heritage exploitation in general. I will first review concepts of smart spaces, based on the dual reality paradigm and then reflect on the applicability of gamification elements as well as how new sensing technologies could help to improve cultural experiences.
